PE

All pupils at King’s Oak Academy participate in high quality P.E sessions, KS1, twice a week, EYFS once a week as well as gross and fine motor skills being developed throughout the day. One of these sessions for KS1 is taught by a teacher and the other is taught by a professional sports coach In EYFS half of all sessions throughout the year are taught by the teacher and the other half by a proffesional sports coach. All children learn skills within the areas of gymnastics, dance and games.

We incorporate a variety of exciting learning opportunities into our P.E sessions such as Morris dancing, Chinese ribbon dancing, using the apparatus, tri golf, Multi-skills and more. This ensures our pupils’ physical learning is enjoyable and stimulating.

Our P.E kit consists of black shorts, a green t-shirt (which can be purchased from the school for £1.50) and plimsolls. Children will learn outside unless the weather prevents it. Please ensure your child has trainers, tracksuit bottoms and a suitable top available to wear when required.
We also have a successful Multi-skills club is available which will develops further skills across all sports after school.

We participate in a range of out of school events with other King’s Lynn schools. This further develops their team building skills.
